MandyJ 02-17-2004, 01:23 PM I am considering buying the new Bun & Thigh roller and was just wondering if anyone has tried it yet and if it works? Sponsor Beka 02-24-2004, 06:59 AM I was wondering about this, too. I just bought it after checking out different reviews on the internet. I haven't heard anything negative yet. Has anyone here tried it and had success with it? DonutsNCoffee 02-24-2004, 04:08 PM While I personally would never buy anything from an infommercial, the rule of thumb is to wait 3 years. If the product is still on the market, that must mean it's not total junk. If it doesn't last that long, it's a safe bet it was junk. If you're going to invest in anything, get yourself an elliptical. Talk to anyone in the fitness industry and they'll tell you this is area with the biggest growth. People are still buying treadmills but many are moving to ellipticals. Not only are they great for cardio, they're great for firming up the glutes. pooh5474 03-06-2004, 10:06 PM In theory, it should work, it's based somewhat on the pilates ball and I know that works because I used to do it. I just purchased one off of ebay...new and sealed because when I called about it, everyone said 2-8 weeks for delivery!!!!!! On ebay I got it and it's being shipped out on Monday and should arrive by Thursday. Might want to keep that in mind if you are considering purchasing one and hope to have it sooner than 2-8 weeks. The Bun & Thigh Rocker has been out for at least 3 years - I got it over three years ago. It definintely works - you are basically doing squats with resistance while sitting down......it is great for toning the bag of your legs, thighs, and butt pooh5474 03-12-2004, 10:13 PM OK i got the bun and thigh roller on wed. Wanted to give it a few days of getting used to it before I replied back. You definitely do feel it in your upper leg muscles after only a few minutes. I think it probably is safer than squats like they say in the infomercial. I don't think it's going to be a miracle machine...but I am still in the early stages. Will check back again in a week to let you know if I actually SEE or FEEL any results. Beka 03-13-2004, 07:37 AM I haven't gotten mine yet, but I'm hoping I'll get it by next week. I got tired of going to the gym and not feeling/seeing the results I wanted. Hopefully this machine will target the most important areas and save on going to the gym and using so many machines. Please keep us updated on your progress! pooh5474 03-13-2004, 10:06 AM One thing I do recommend, when you get it, get one of those mats that they sell to put under exercise equipment, I do notice that this tends to move backwards and you have to keep making sure your foot placement is right. I have carpeting all over my house except the kitchen, so I am going to try to find a mat to put under it where I work out to stop it from moving. miper 03-11-2005, 07:09 AM I was just looking at old posts because I was thinking of getting one of these. Any more comments on it? Beka 03-11-2005, 08:47 AM I did get it and try it, but I ended up returning it. It was quite a bit more awkward for me to use than it looked on TV (big surprise there...). It tended to "walk" backwards. I would start at one end of them room, and 20 reps later, I was at the other end. If you have something to keep it from moving, it might work. All in all, it was too much of a hassle for me. I settled for a yoga DVD and a gym membership. :) miper 03-11-2005, 09:23 AM Thanks! I'm thinking I may try the fitness ball/pilates sculpting instead. I've worked out on the ball before and KNOW it works. |
