I am so confused and upset now. I have been sick for almost 4 years. The thing is I really felt like I was getting better, until yesterday. I have never felt worse!! I have never had spinning until last night when I laid down to sleep,i was so scared this has never happened to me.I have always felt off balanced and like really bad motion and movement but not spinning. I hope I am not getting worse. Why would this happen to me ,I could feel I was almost 100 percent better. I have never taken any meds for dizziness,I can still drive. I do take motrin for tmj pain but that is it. Has anyone else just all of a sudden got worse?

Do you have a diagnosis? Have you ever been tested for you imbalance or have any idea where it has been coming from for the last 4 years. That is a long time to be sick!

My Ent says it is an inner ear inflammation.I will be feeling almost all better and then it just keeps lingering but these last few days have been hard. It has changed, from motion sensations to spinning.

Fire Queen may I ask exactly what you mean by 'motion sensation'? Also on the 'spinning' which you have experienced more or less out of the blue, I'm no expert on this but the one and only time I had this happen, woke me from sleep, scared me witless, didn't know what it was, seemed to be on account of the fact that I had been very physically active in the garden that day. Had really overdone it with too much physical exertion. Any chance you were more active than usual before this episode? Has it happened again or just a one off?

Hi, I feel like I am moving and tilting but only to the left side. My right side is perfectley fine. I am very active-I drive everyday to the store and shop, plus I walk and not to mention my 4 kids!! My balance therapist told me to stay active especially on bad days, not to sit but to get up and walk to combat the dizziness. I have never spun like that in the 4 years I have been sick. Last night in bed when I went to roll over I was fine!!

I'm not one to hand out advice because I would be the least experienced member of this board and a very odd example of someone with a vestibular disorder. However my sensations were also all left sided and I could do just about anything no trouble at all. But after I would stop doing whatever it was I had been doing and would sit down or be still the sensations would get worse, the greater the physical activity I had engaged in the worse the problem would be. Don't know what exercises your therapist has recommended for you but I have noticed a real change in sensations with the eye exercises I am doing. Still very skeptical mind you as to whether they will remedy the problem but have to say they are having a definite effect.
