I get so sick in the first week or two of my pill packs! I've been on the pill for over a year and a half and still..it has not gone away. I used to take it at nite(recommended by doctor to avoid nausea) and I would wake up with terrible morning sickness that lasted for hours and I missed a lot of school. Right now I smell dinner and it's making me sick. I'll eat something I love and then its just like..omg I can't beleive I ate that, I feel sick.
What do ya'll that have been pregnant or in similar situations do?
and by the way..I'm not pregnant! Not a possibility..this has been going on for too long.

I had the same problem, only I was nauseated all the time on the pill. I tried every form of birth control pill and even the patch with the same results. the only thing that helped was eating frequently (every 3-4 hours) which caused me to gain about 40 pounds over the years. My doctor said some people just can't tolerate the hormones. She also said more than likely this is how I would be if I got pregnant. What did I do? I had my tubes tied. Now I don't worry about it. However if this is not an option for you, you should ask to be put on the lowest dose of hormones you can. I know they just came out with a new very low hormone pill. That might help.

I had the same problem when I first went on bc pills about four months ago. The entire first month of taking them, I was nauseous every hour of each day. The second month I was on them, the nausea feeling disappeared. My dr. recommended the same thing as yours did...take the bc pill before going to bed each night. But, then I woke up sick to my stomach. I am on a low dose (Alesse) pill. Don't take the pill on an empty stomach...maybe that will help.

I feel for you. When I was pregnant with my twins I had severe morning sickness. Now, almost 2 years later I had to go back on BCP's and it's back! So, I take it at night and eat in the morning and also carry Emetrol in my purse. It works quite well for nausea. It's over-the-counter and you can buy the store brand. Also, if it's really bad you can take Dramamine Non-Drowsy and it helps. If all this fails, tell your doctor and switch pills. It's the evil PROGESTERONE :blob_fire that is making us sick. Look for a pill with lower progesterone.

This website is the best for figuring out which BCP's are right for you~good luck!
