dermabrasion anyone?
i started using the at home micro stuff from ebay a week ago plus camellia oil and am getting a few whiteheads on chin and a red bump on jaw line.
do u think i'm scrubbing too hard with the micro or could the camellia be the culprit?
i quit using aha cream from neostrata before i started this new routine. my skin was clear with only using the aha.

I am using the same products and had breakouts too! I read somewhere that the microdermabrasion can cause breakouts.

Microdermabrasion can cause breakouts in 2 ways - 1) if you are applying too much pressure it can aggravate acne - especially cystic acne; you need to let the machine do the work, and 2) it could just be purging your skin.
You might want to use a BHA product to help clean out pores, too.
I've never used camellia oil, so I can't offer any help on that - however, I do use jojoba & hazelnut oil without a problem. Hazelnut is great for oily skin because it's slightly astringent - and jojoba will help balance oil production. Neither one should cause breakouts - although there are always people who will have problems with any skin product.

I have read on another board that jojoba oil helps control oil production and that is does not make people break out like Camellia oil. I bought the Camellia oil and it made me breakout too. Now I use it as an eye make-up remover. It works great. I also use it on my lips. It keeps them moist and they appear fuller.
I am thinking about getting the jojoba oil. It is worth a try.
