Hey, I am 21 and have a very serious hairline issue. I have no bald spots on the back, it's pretty thick everywhere but the front where it's receding... And it's moving quick. I've tried hair thickening shampoos, they kinda help. Any suggestions other than rogain, nioxin, etc..? Perhaps vitamins or natural herbs? Thanks.

HEllo im young like you and also have a serious receding hairline. I DID nioxin for about a year and find it didnt do anything. Right now im seeing a hair specialist and they are testing my hair to see what treatment would be best. IM kinda sketchy about it but i can fill you in on what they say. ITs really hard i was thinking of trying to keep the hair i have and getting some implants as well.

Go to the dermatologist and see if you should use Rogaine. It works like a miracle for me, a woman. THICK hair again after 4 months. Go to a skin doctor for sure.

I THOUGht rogain was for people who are already bald and it just grows some fuzz for you so you dont look bald? i didnt know it was for thinning hair also!

No, the EARLIER you try Rogaine the better. Helps better if the thinning doesnt' get far enough to balding. You can look at the Rogaine site. I do not have fuzzy hair. It is perfect and thick. My hair is layered and to my shoulders. I am a female. I am thrilled with the result. Funny how myths start. I would go to your doc. maybe get a thyroid blood test and start the Rogaine. The doctor can diagnose what is wrong. Good luck!!! :)

See, the thing is.. i don't have thin hair, and i don't have a bald spot on the back of my head. It's all frontal hairline. and i read on the rogain packages that this is the only thing it doesn't help with. it only helps with the other two(thining hair, and back of head balding). Am I dreaming or is this true?

The only way to find out is to try it. First see a dermatologist. To me, your thinning in front just sounds like the normal male pattern baldness just beginning. I would try and do something now-early. Like I said though, I am not a doctor so please go to the derm. and get the answers you need. Hopefully the doctor will know about it. If you do start, the old hairs will fall out to make room for the new ones for a few weeks. This is fine. Good luck.
