Hello All.

I was just wondering if anybody has a problam with words?

I for the last year or so have had problams like this. Like I will be watching Tv or something and some body will say something like this,

I went to town to get some Milk!

Well I will start to ask myself what the hell does "Went" mean or and then its hard to define and so I will ask myself what does "to" mean and then what does "get" mean and they are hard to define and I will work myself up in a frenzy. If Iam doing something that am intrested in or working at my job never bothers me. What in the hell is this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When it comes on it may last only a few mins then if I get really into it it is liable to last all day.

I have never misunderstood a word ever spoken to me but some times i feel like iam speaking a forein lanague ahahhahaahhhaah.

:jester: :jester:

This is just plum dumb to me but boy it will make you feel like you cant understand anything but yet you never miss a word spoken to you. Dang if i couldnt understand English I dont think I could type this message ahahahah.

Hi Catfish,

I actually have had this happen... don't know if it's OCD related or what, but the first time it put me in such a fog I started worrying that I was having a stroke or something! (Can we say PANIC ATTACK?!) Ack!

It also has happened, only briefly and momentarily, thank God, when I'm playing piano... like right before I start a piece, I'll look at the music and be like "what the heck is that note?" It's not nerves, it feels just like when the word thing happens.

Anyhow, I know this doesn't offer much help, just wanted to let you know I can relate a bit!

Excatly!!!!!!!!!! The first time it happend to me I thought the excate same thing. The funny part about it is when Iam busy or really intrested in something it dont even bother me but man o man at night when iam by myself or dont have anything to do wow it will hit and make me feel like iam gonna loose the abulity to understand english but then soon as the phone rings or I get intrested in something else its gone. I hate it. Thanks a lot for the post it helps a bunch just to hear some one else has experinced the same thing.

Yes, this has happened to me many times, too. It definitely does stress you out.
