Hey!

For those of you who are taking medication, I just have a few questions. I would greatly appreciate any responses. I might start taking them, I have the medication, but I'm not sure what I want to do.

1. What medication did you start taking?

2. Did you have to try other medications? If so, how many?

3. What dosage were you on when you first started taking medication?

4. Did your dosage increase, decrease, or stay the same?

5. How long did it take you to see the results?

6. If you could go back, would you have gone on medication?

7. Have you been taken off of medication yet?

8. Did you experience any side effects? If so, what were they?

Thanks so much. If you have any other input, please post it. If you have any comments at all, even if you don't answer any of the questions, please post them also.

Thanks,
Daniela

I am currently on Lexapro - 15mg.

I began on Wellbutrin, Lexapro and Remeron combination. I have been weaned of the Wellbutrin and Remeron. I was on 150mg Wellbutrin and 15mg Remeron.

I decreased in Remeron to 7.5 mg for a while. And recently stopped.
I switched docs and he said that the Wellbutrin wasn't helping. So I stopped cold turkey with absolutely no side effects. The 150mg wasn't enough to worry about.

I have recently increased in Lexapro from 10mg to 15mg.

The results were immediate even though I was told it would take 2 weeks or so. It was like BAM! I got my life back.

Things have sorta roller coastered, but things are MUCH better with the meds.

I am currently going through CBT. I have an appt. with my doc next month. We may switch a little since I have been slushed into a fog.

The side effects for me were mostly yawning and being sleepy (especially mid-afternoon). I am looking forward to having a crisp feeling again without anxiety (that is my goal).

Things changed very dramatically for me. Dramatic for the better. I was able to deal with things without constantly reexamining myself, my motives etc. I was able to have a conversation and not ruminate over it days later. I got my night sleeps back. I began enjoying my home. Being home has become a haven, but in a good way.

One thing that bothers me is that some of the pizzazz is missing. That tickle in my insides when I'd go out surfing is missing. I sort of miss the rush of adrenaline.

I hope this helps. Remember: RESULTS VARY!
