Prevent wrinkles or reduce existing ones? MandyJ 02-22-2004, 02:42 PM Both. :) kimzi81 02-22-2004, 04:56 PM I am looking for a good over-the-counter wrinkle cream. Thanks in advance!! Silkia Camellia Oil. Its not really a cream, but its not as oily as you would think either. works great and is really cheap.. check it out on ebay. its about 12.50. or you can check out the other posts on here about it - its worked for a bunch of people. lindao1 02-22-2004, 06:34 PM Hello! Neutrogena's Anti-Wrinkle cream has worked wonders for my deep-set wrinkles and I haven't had a problem with break-outs or anything. I also use their Deep Clean Cream Cleanser. I must tell you, though, that my skin tends to be on the dry side. Hope this helps. Linda regime 02-22-2004, 10:08 PM i hear the ponds antiaging complex cream is awesome! im gonna buy it for my left behind acne scars.! CrazyCats4 02-23-2004, 08:51 AM I bought Dove's Essential Nutrients Day and Nite Cream (2 separate jars) about 2 weeks ago and can't believe the difference in my skin. I didn't have a lot of wrinkles to begin with but was experiencing the sagging feeling. My skin had lost a lot of its elasticity <sp??> My skin now is about 10 years younger....much tighter and 'glowy' looking. Crows feet are gone. The only wrinkles I can't seem to get rid of are above my eyelids. It looks like crinkled parchment.... esp. when I wear eye shadow and my glasses. CC steffyrn 02-28-2004, 08:21 AM My suggestion for a great wrinkle reducing product is good old vitamin e cream. Some people like to buy the gelcaps and pierce them open with a pin and apply the gel to the skin. I find that any vitamin E cream is helpful and non-irritating. There are a slew of creams available over the counter so you will never have any problems finding it! I also like the Avon vitamin E cream..its great! Steffy regime 02-28-2004, 09:55 AM what abt jojoba or almond oil? i use those on my face and they have cleared up my face, i think they are for wrinkles too arent they??? sweetficus 02-28-2004, 09:58 AM to get rid of wrinkles and dull skin you need some strong stuff - things with retinol and an acid (alpha or beta or even salicylic) I tried ROC brand w/ retinol and Neutrogena healthy skin w/both acid and retinol - if your skin reacts to the ingredients then alternate every other day (or use just at night) with more soothing moisturizer - I like the Neutrogena copper lotion and the Oil of Olay regenerist lotion, as well as the silkia camellia oil for drier skin robste 02-28-2004, 10:54 AM to get rid of wrinkles and dull skin you need some strong stuff - things with retinol and an acid (alpha or beta or even salicylic) I tried ROC brand w/ retinol and Neutrogena healthy skin w/both acid and retinol - if your skin reacts to the ingredients then alternate every other day (or use just at night) with more soothing moisturizer - I like the Neutrogena copper lotion and the Oil of Olay regenerist lotion, as well as the silkia camellia oil for drier skin I have sensitive, fair skin, so I don't like to use things with retinol in them. Do you like the Oil of Olay Regenerist products? I was thinking of buying one of them (eye cream) since I found a coupon for it. Despite all the advertising hype that one reads, according to all the reasearch I have read, the only cosmeceuticals which actually may do some good in the fight against wrinkles are the ones that contain Retinol (Vitamin A derivative) or Vitamin C. If you cannot use the products which contain these two ingredients then you are probably wasting your time and money since all other products will not give you any results despite claims to the contrary by the cosmetics companies which manufacture the products If your skin is sensitive then I would suggest starting out with a very low concentration of retinol and/or Vitamin C product and using it every other day or even less often until your skin starts to tolerate it better. Then, gradually, increase concentration and/or frequency of use. This method has worked for many women with sensitive skin. It may work for you. robste 03-01-2004, 05:32 PM If I don't want to use products with Retinol in them, I might try something with the Vitamin C. Can anyone suggest a really good undereye cream with Vitamin C for someone in her 40's? I'd like to both prevent new wrinkles and make the few that I have disappear, or at least look like less. I would like something that I can purchase at the drugstore. |
