Hi,
I wouldn't freak out if I were you. Although there seems to be a genetic predisposition for getting MS, it is not a genetic disease and multiple family members with MS is fairly uncommon. My daughter has MS and my mother (her grandmother) has MS. I'm sandwiched inbetween them and I'm fine and I'm not worried about it. Do your chances of getting MS increase when a family member has MS? Yes, but that doesn't mean you're doomed to get it, especially with the family member being a first cousin.
Correct me if I'm wrong fellow board members, but this is my understanding.
Take care,
Julie
