Does anyone experience a burning sensation all over the body, from fibromyalgia. Much like a sunburn type of sensation in the skin?

Yes pretty much all the time, it varies though where on my body it is, mostly on my thighs and upper arms, as well as my face. When it's bad even a ligh breeze over naked skin hurts like hell.

I have burning all of the time, in fact sometimes I think I will go out of my mind between that and the on going pain.
My dr put me on neurnton 2 x a day, I thought that it was helping, but now I'm not so sure. What meds are you on?

Hi,
I have been reading alot of threads and this one really hit home. I was just diagnosed with fibro on Dec. 31st-03. The rheumy figured I have had it for years.
I also have the burning feeling, especially on my thighs. Mine feels more like rug burn (if you have ever felt that). It also goes part way down my legs and makes it very uncomfortable to lay down. I have tried lotion and moist heat but nothing helps. I have been going to a therapist but I think she is pushing me too hard. I am so tired of being in pain and getting worn out so easy! My family does'nt really understand.
Thanks for any help!
B-Jean

Some pain medications can cause the burning sensation, especially Ultram.

So far I only have the burning in lower back.

Me too with the back and especially chest. At times feet as well. Doesn't this just stink? :nono:
