View Full Version : Partial crown doesn't fit can't be replaced

Hi,
I was fitted with a partial crown that is too low.
I was wondering if anyone out there has been fitted with a partial crown/crown that doesn't fit and it can't be replaced. The prosthodontist that did it was not very good. I've seen 5 dentists/prosthos since and they said my bite is all screwed up -- none of the teeth are hitting evenly. I had my jaw x-rayed for TMJD but these x-rays came out normal.

The way I understand it is that it can't be replaced because it can only be fitted around 1mm. Mine is too low but it can't be replaced because it's a gray area.

I know I've told this to Zach on this board and wonder how he's doing with his gold crowns.

I was wondering how many of you out there have this problem and do you just learn to live with it.

Thank you.

A
The oral irritation is so bad I feel like getting the teeth pulled and fitted with dentures.

Sorry to hear about your situation but please call around to the different cosmetic dentistry places (check your local yellow pages) because I would think it can be fixed.

A lot of places will give free consultations. Don't give up hope - someone will def. be able to help you or give you the best alternatives.

Good luck :)
