no problems but the doctors can't figure it out. They say no problems with my brain. I did an electrocardiogram, no probs. The doctor says it may be stress..but my symptoms are headache, dizziness and it feels like someone is pushing down on my brain. Also, do you guys get numbness in your hand and feet?? Question: Can an inner ear disorder be found on an MRI? If so, please let me know b/c this doctor may have just screwed me....thanks

No, inner ear problems CAN NOT be seen on an MRI. They are usually done to rule out other things. If you feel its inner ear please don't let this doc make you think its "just stress". Have you seen an otologist? (ear nose throat doc). The majority of people w/inner ear problems see a lot of docs before being diagnosed. You might even try to find a neuro-otologist. I have been dealing with this for 8 years and had a LOT of doctors tell me "your just depressed". If you know better, keep fighting.

hope this helped

Thanks Kim..He prescribed me Buspar, which is an anti - anxiety medicine. Tried it for 2 days now, the symtoms seem to have lessoned, but I still don't feel the same. I should say that I had a concussion from a snowboarding accident 2 years ago...can the symptoms be from that? What's scary is the numbness in my hand and my feet...I just wish it would go away..your 8 year battle scares me..

It just amazes me how many docs think that anti-depressants are the answer to everything  I'm sure I don't need to tell you this, but if you don't feel comfortable taking the Buspar then by all means don't. It's one that I was given too. Head trauma CAN cause inner ear problems (by no means am I saying this happened to you), I was involved in a car accident and had mild head trauma, and mine didn't surface till a year or two later.

Please, don't let my 8 years scare you. Most people have theirs clear up, but there are a few of us who have lifelong problems. The sad part is, it took me 4 years and a lot of doctors for one to finally say " your not imagining things". Don't give up.

You say that it feels like something is pushing down on your brain? During the summer the same thing happened to me. All day I felt like someone was pushing my head down and on top of that I was very lightheaded all the time and experienced headaches daily. After many lab tests and x-rays they sent me to a chiropractor because they said that I have a minor misalignment in my neck which was the reason behind the headaches and the feeling of having my head pushed down. After my visit to the chiropractor I felt so much better. I still have lightheadedness right now and the doctors are trying to figure out what is the cause. I have been taking Meclizine and that has helped reduce my lightheadedness drastically so you might want to try that. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
