I have been diagnosed with Labyrinthitus and need to know if anyone out there has this horrible illness as all my symptoms are mentioned in all your threads but no mention of what causes your bouts of dizziness, please contact me to let me know

I think I'm correct in saying most people on this particular board have lab diagnosies, some have BPPV diagnosies and some aren't 100% sure yet.

You will find a lot of help and support here from people who have been or are going through the same thing.

Labyrinthitis is caused by any virus - it is either inflammation or damage in the inner ear - hopefully the former for you. Generally you do not have "bouts of dizziness" but the dizziness is constant. How did your start? lab usually starts 2-3 wks after a bad cold. xxx
