Im not sure what exactly to call the hepa something. Im struggling here to many drugs lately w/this outburst of asthma. I need to find something to trap the dust and upcoming spring pollens. Since i just moved into a new house with 13 fruit trees that will be budding soon. Does anyone own a air filter? If so can you let me know what kind is the best to get? Does it help much?
Thanks,
jane

I have an Ionic Breeze. I got it in December, so I don't really know how well it traps pollen, etc. It sures traps a lot of dust though! I never thought there was that much stuff in my room. But anyway, I've heard both good and bad things about it. It's made by Sharper Image if you want to look into getting one.

I don't know how well the filters work. I have a honeywell, but its loud and I only run it every few days for an hour or so.
But, I did buy a Kirby vacuum cleaner in 2001. It has a hepa filter on the bag and it sucks up everything. My allergies and asthma have improved since I got this. Its expensive, but definately worth it. It helps keep my house dust free which is a huge trigger for me.
Athma is actually a contraindicated for the ionic breeze. It produces ozone is a respiratory irritant...
Anything HEPA is your best bet, though I don't have one....

Thanks hc85. I was contemplating buying an ionice breeze thing that I saw in a baby magazine for my 2 year old, who seems to be sickly. I was thinking it would help. Guess not.

I have a filter in my room at home, it does help esp when i've changed my bed or had the window open. I agree, HEPA is best.
