My mother took me to get my eyes checked the other day thinking we still had vision coverage under our insurance. Well we don't we ended up paying 66 dollars just for the exam. How can they take things out of the insurance without notifying someone????

My mother took me to get my eyes checked the other day thinking we still had vision coverage under our insurance. Well we don't we ended up paying 66 dollars just for the exam. How can they take things out of the insurance without notifying someone???? Unfortunately, the only person who must be notified of changes in coverage is the one purchasing the coverage. If that's the employer, then the employer subsequently notifies the employees. (If the employer neglected to do this, shame on them! :nono: ) If employee neglected to keep abreast of employee bulletins detailing such changes, well dang, it can cost ya! :eek:

HINT: Anytime you receive a new health card, that's the signal that coverage may have changed and it's time to review the entire plan for changes.
