I happened upon this web site earlier this evening.

I suffer from asthma. I was only diagnosed with it in early July, but I now realize that I have been suffering from it for about eight or more years untreated.

Is what is scaring me is that it's getting worse and worse. I was put on Pulmicort and Bricandyl (sp) back in July. Earlier this week, I got sick and ended up going to outpatients on Friday. They had to use the mask with neubilizer. The doctor also put me on an apo salvent inhaler (the blue puffer.)

I hate asthma. It's so scary. I'm 22-years-old and I feel robbed from my life. I have to be careful to not get colds or else I can kiss work goodbye. I have already missed two weeks of work this year without pay.

Asthma is treatable and can be kept under control. You have to find the right med and/or inhalers. I have it too but I have been dealing with it. I take Flovent 110 mg and Serevent 2 puffs 2x daily and Singulair at night. I hope you are okay.
