Interesting screen name. thanx for responding, and like you, I've been concerned about the other meds that I take. I'm wondering why I would be taking Concerta (a derivitive of Ritalin), then also taking Klonopin. One is a stimulant and one is the opposite. My doc says they are not contraindicated. Basically I'm trying to find out if I REALLY have ADHD. I was diagnosed so fast with it, I'm kind of skeptical. Perhaps it's just that I have bad anxiety/stress which I've had for years and never goes away.

Yeah, I was hesitant to post about the anxiety thing because others here will be VERY quick to tell you that anxiety can produce ADD symptoms to the extent that anxiety is often misdiagosed as ADD. There are others, although you're not likely to find them here, who will tell you that it's rare to find an Inattentive ADD'er who doesn't have anxiety; that the ADD causes anxiety. So who's right? I don't know.
ADD, by definition, must have existed before age 7. You may not remember back that far, but do you remember having these problems with inattention/distractibility in elementary school? Do these symptoms at least predate your anxiety issues?
Even *IF* you do believe you have ADD, I would recommend getting used to one new drug at a time. It's too hard to figure out what is causing what if you're changing too much at one time.
Good luck!
