I just would like to ask - as of last evening I have had frequent urinatin like every 2 hours and could not sleep w/o waking up. Over the past 40 years (i am now 45) I have always been a choco-holic. I eats sweets alot.
However, I exercise faithfully like 4-5 time a week. I am about 14 pounds overweight.

do you think this could be from diabetes. I was last checked a few months ago via a urine test and everything was normal.

Someone please let me know your thoughts.

Frequent urination could be due to a urinary tract infection. Do you have other symptoms other than frequent urination?

Oh, did you by chance have a soft drink, coffee, tea or other beverage during the late evening? If so, this can cause a diuretic effect and necessitate frequent urination.

If you still have the problem, see a doctor and rule out an infection and/or diabetes.

Marie's advice was right on target. The only thing I would add is that urine tests are no longer used to diagnose diabetes because they are very inaccurate. Your doctor should do a fasting blood glucose test, which can be either a simple finger-stick or a blood draw.
