View Full Version : Bronchial spasms

I have PVC's (an arrythmia) that acts up on occasion. However, while working outside in the cold, I sometimes have what feels like it could be a bronchial spasm in my chest. I can't tell if it was a mild PVC, or a possible spasm. What would a bronchial spasm feel like? Can they be short and intense (which feels like my arrythmia), or is that the defenition of an asthma attack? I do have severe allergies which has developed into exercise induced asthma; but, I do have bouts of feeling heavy chested, short of breath and sometimes burning in my lungs.

Thanks

I throw pvc's on occasion and have really severe asthma. I'll tell you what the pvcs and what the spasms each feel like and maybe you can determine the difference in yourself with these descriptions. When I throw pvcs, it feels like someone has hit me in the chest with their fist and it momentarily takes my breathe away. When I have spasms, my chest gets really tight and painful with severe aching.
That is the only way I can describe the difference. I hope this helps a little.
