Hi,

Am kinda new to this website and have a few anxiety problems.

Two weeks ago I had a gyne appointment. My pap was normal however my mamo came back and the doctor is sending me for a magnificed view of my left breast. They are sawing it's nothing to worry about and the report indicated so that is was just a precaution. They saw calficications on the left side and said it could have been the compression, kept telling me not to worry. Well I am a very nervous and scared puppy and have lost 5 pounds since they called Thursday. Any input would be appreciated. Plus if anyone else has had anxiety what can I take for this???? My heart is racing all of the time and I really feel like going to bed until my next appointment on Wednesday for the second mammo.....
Thanks for letting me vent.

Try not to worry, our breast can have lots of changes that are harmless. The more you worry the more your heart is going to race. Take some deep breaths and try to not think about it. Relax and wait! I know easier said than done but it isn't going to help you to be all all stressed out by the time you go to the dr. on Wed. Just hang in there, try to remember most of the changes are harmless, keep telling yourself that. Keep us posted.

I've been through this a couple of times where I had to get another mammography because they saw something. The last time I went for the second one, the one trying to take it put me through so much pain and she couldn't get it. After the third time I left. I found a new doctor and another place to get my mammography. No problems with that one. I know a few other women that had to go through another mammography because they saw something. I don't know if there's anything you can take for anxiety but just being able to talk to someone helps me.
