View Full Version : Burping Problem - Doctor's Dont Diagnose

I've been reading many posts on many forums. TOO many people are having the same problem I am, a pressure on my chest, burping, lump feeling in the back of the throat, difficulty breathing, fatigue, bitter taste and CONSTANT BURPING. Every post is the same, GI series, endoscopy, acid tests, and the doctors are always coming up with nothing - if anything maybe a small hiatal hernia like the rest of the population. "Your perfectly healthy" your doc says, while you know that you are truly getting depressed and concerned because whatever you have is affecting your every day life. Trying strange diets, abdominal pressure, pyschologically it brings us down. Most of the people making these posts, including myself are young... too young to have a chronic unexplained illness. While it is possible stress caused some of what I'm going through, the easing of stress doesnt make it go away. The drug shifting, Prilosec, Nexium, Protonix, are probably doing more harm then good. THERE's gotta be someone out there who knows what's going on, or at least knows how to make living easier. It plagues me... how after all these years, the doctor's can't come up with anything other than GERD. All I know is, there's too many people out there going through the same thing I am for something to be done.

It sounds like you are lacking Magnesium in your diet. There is a thread started by bluepumkin on this board about what magnesium did for him. I will bump it to the top so you can read it.
