I am not sure what the feeling is about "Benedril" on this board .. so I hope I am not over-stepping. But, I take benedril and so does my oldest son (he is 17), when we have trouble sleeping. It just relaxes us to the point that we can sleep ... without waking up groggy. My son also has a tendency to get hives .. which the benedril helps with as well. Just a thought...

Yes, the lack of sleep can come from quitting smoking. Were you a heavy smoker? I used to be a very heavy smoker. I mean I'd smoke bowls and bowls every hour upon the hour. When i quit for the first time, it was rough for me. I had an upset stomach and coldn't really sleep. I only made it about 5 days efore I went right back to smoking. It was an on and off thing for me for a while. I would want to quit, then a couple days later, I'd be smoking all over again. It really is basically all in your mind though. You just have to occupy your time with other things. Just keep your mind off it. I would also think about getting rid of the pot you have left. Having it in the house just makes you think about it that much more. Honestly though, all you have to do is keep your mind on other things and you are home free. I smoked basically every day for about 10 years and most of that 10 years was pretty heavy smoking. Then, one day I just made up my mind that I didn't want to do this anymore and it was time to move on. I quit with almost no problems. It's amazing how much better I felt and how much clearer my mind was. I didn't smoke at all for about 6 months. Now, to be honest even though I stayed clean for that whole 6 months, I now smoke on occasions. By on occasions I mean maybe a few times every month or two, or if I go to a party. When I smoke, I usually take 2 hits and I'm high for a few hours. If I'm at a party or something I might take 4-5 hits in a night. I don't drink though. On a very rare occasion I may have a couple drinks, but I'm just not a drinker. Anyway, if you really want to quit, just set your mind to it and you will quit. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Hi thanks for your replys. Tonight is the 4th night i have not smoked, and im really suprised with myself. I used to smoke one after another sometimes leading up to maybe 7 the max a night. I cant really say for sure that i will never smoke it again, but i know i wont let myself smoke as much as i was. I like smoking pot sometimes it relxes me, but sometimes it also gets me paranoid......I heard it really depends on your mood? But i was thinking it was from smoking too much. Im doing good, so im happy with myself. Thanks again!
The body and fire and sleeplessness sounds like anxiety/panic attacks which can happen when you are mental addicted to something then suddenly take it away.I have used either Benadryl or Melatonin to get me to sleep but like anything else your body can get used having one of them to get you to sleep so...don't use them every night.
Stay Strong,
Ken

HI, i do have anxiety, and i dont take anything for it. I have been taking benedryl for allergies, and it makes metired but when i go to go to sleep and close my eyes it feels like they are wide open and i am tossing and turning for hours. I also did try melatonin and that doesnt help me. I made a mistake lastnight by taking a vicodin es to knock me out and that didnt even do anything but make me itch. EVERYTHING seems to do the total opposite to me i cant figure out why?
