i have had a pain in my left ear for 3 weeks now and sometimes i feel the pressure all around my jaw and sometimes my right ear feels like it has pressure in too (nothing like the left though) , for the past year i have had ear aches on and off (only about 4 in a year) they allways went away in less than a week but this one isnt budging! :(

Doctor said its not wax and that my inner ear tubes are plugged with catarhh and the other doctor said it may be fluid (although she didnt look). The doctor said it would go alone, but i am not too optimistic and i am fed up with it as i want to lead a normal life! i have had a stomach condition to deal with and an anxiety disorder and now this!! i fear it will never go away!

Does it ever go away? i cant take sudafed as it makes me anxious (i think) and i dont know what to do! i have tried nasal spray and steaming a few times, hasnt helped.
How long should i leave this before i go back to the docs and beg for a solution! I think they will tell me to go away as there is nothing they can do!
Could it get worse?
