View Full Version : Candida (yeast) allergy

Yesterday I had intradermal testing which showed a positive result for Candida. They weren't able to give me a ton of info on it and I haven't been able to find any reputable sites.

Does anyone else have this or know anything about it. I asked if I need to cut products with yeast out of my diet and was told that yeast in foods is diifferent, but limiting it could help. The sites I have found have alot of mixed info on this.

Oddly enough, I have a history female infections and IBS, and am also trying to find out if there is a link to the allergy.

Thanks,
Lazor

I have a link that would be very helpful to you but I am not sure if I can post it or even tell you a website that I think you need to read. I sould e-mail you the info but I have no idea how to go about getting you the info.

Candida Albicans is a natural organism that lives in the intestine, but in certain conditions it can grow out of control. There are many causes for having this problem and you can probably have a test done to measure this.
I would think a search for online tests would be a good place to start or go to a library and look for cookbooks and other info.
Symptoms of candidiasis include constipation, diarrhoea, flatulence, bloating, abdominal pain, headaches, rectal itching, poor memory and poor concentration, mood swings and irritability, PMS, fatigue and drowsiness, joint and muscle pain, food and chemical sensitivities, depression and anxiety, and sugar and alcohol cravings. Good luck and hope you find some anwers soon.

Hello lazor,

I am posting a great deal of information in a thread called another hives thread and candida is going to be one of the subjects I will be covering, I have a lot of info on this subject if you are interested in reading it.

It might take a bit before I get to that info, but I will get to it.
