Just read the post with Jen, Scant, Ruth, et al. Even though I've only been on these boards six months, it's nice to see some people who were more frantic when I first arrived (myself included) are getting better and moving on. I'm glad you're still 100%! Must have to be to take care of such a big (120lb) dog!

I had a quick question/verification for you. I'm in my 14th month, and have just finished 6 weeks of normalcy. In the last week or so I've noticed a slight floaty/fuzzy feel again, though it's nothing like before. Haven't had any colds or viruses or anything at all to trigger. I don't have trampoline walk when I got out for my walks anymore, but it's sort of disconcerting to feel any relapse after such a stretch of 100%. Just want to make sure that at this point (14 mos.) it's normal for a slight backward slide, and that 100% will resume shortly. Like I said, it doesn't feel anywhere near how it used to, it's just a mental blow of sorts to even feel slightly loopy because I'd convinced myself I'd put it behind me. This will NOT win!! Bring on the pep talk . . .

Hi Terri

Sounds like your doing great--and right---on the same track as me---feels good---does it not??

.."I've noticed a slight floaty/fuzzy feel again, though it's nothing like before. "..

..."sort of disconcerting to feel any relapse after such a stretch of 100%."..

Nope it is not a "relapse" just a normal part of the compensation process

--had the same thing happen and about the same time---it is just--the brain---fine tunning and adjusting---to the return---of the vestibular system---that was bummed out

---as it(brain) adjusts--to going back to it's normal bias for the vestibular system input---(which has been screwed up but is getting better)--- and away from the(your) vision system---that it has been relying on

---that is a good sign---that happens at the end

----remember---when your equilibrium is normal---like before this happened---the brain's equilibrium center has been set up---through/by evolution--- to favor--the vestibular system for balance---since the vision system can be unreliable and easily fooled.

---when it went wacky---it(brain) had to shift to vision

---all that's happening now is it is shifting back as the vestibular system gets better.....takes a little time....that's all....for the transition to take place......
