I wanted to ask you a few things on the dissability. I have had Asthma most of my life. I am 35. The past 4 yrs have been bad. I went back to my pulminary Dr. My test showed 38% lung compasity we have now brought that up to 79% He did some X-rays and told me it would not get any better it was permanet. I have never thought about applying I guess I am to proud but i really need to work.I do not think I can. I have not for 3 yrs. My husband does work but were having trouble making ends meet. I do have a nice house and a 1994 van , Do you think it would be possiable to get ssi or dissability. I have some other problems fibromyalgia, interstitial cyctis, some disc. problems but have not pursued much medically attention for these. Shoould I list all of them. Please let me know what you think. I would be very greatful.

My lung capacity is about what yours was before it got better. I am not on oxegen though. I do have a house and posessions they don't look at that for disability. they look at the entire picture. If you decide to apply you list everything you have wrong asthma, fibromaylgia exc. if you have depression, insomnia exc you list that to. and you list every single doc that ever treated you.
Most of all when they send you a form on your "mental state" don't lie, but don't ;make it sound like you are just fine.
Having posessions won't keep you from disability but ssi it would.
