Good morning everyone here in anti-tobacco land! :) Hope that everyone is doing well. Today is #10 and I haven't been feeling as well in the last few days as I did in the begininning. I don't know why it's like this and am sure that it'll pass soon as I constantly remind myself that it's only temporary. Please don't take me wrong or anything as I'm firmly committed to quitting as I ever was - probably more so. But the last few days have been somewhat trying, especially in the first few hours and the last few hours of the day.
Laurie - I did try to quit chewing the fake tobacco stuff, but again, I find that it helps me during those first hours in the morning and last ones at night. But with exception to these hours, I am not chewing nothing except gum. Will try to trickle this imitation stuff down to nothing here soon.
OK - enough for now and will talk to you guys again in the morning,

Good job! Yes, this is a very up and down process. I'm sure you had bad days before you quit that probably weren't as noticible because you didn't attribute them to the quit, don't you think? I've been feeling absolutely awful the past few days, but then again, everyone around me has been sick, so I can't say it's from the quit! Keep on going, you're doing great!

Both of you are doing great so keep at it and yes there will come a day when you laugh at what you did. I have no desire to smoke right now, but I never let my guard down and I think that's the trick. KNOW there will be some days where somethin will sneak in outta nowhere, but you just say no. It really is that simple.
Yes Dave - you'll have a weird day like your past few but then they go away and don't worry about the imitation stuff right now - maybe wait until a few months pass and then tackle the imitation habit? Maybe try to wheen yourself down...........whatever you think works best, but for now - stick with your plan and keep doin what your doin because it's working :)
You will come to a day where you'll wonder why you even wanted to do it???? I really do have days where I'm like "What was I thinking LOL" or "What's the big deal with it anyway - it's nasty." Just be patient because the light does come at the end of the tunnel :)
