YOUR GARDEN

YOUR MIND IS LIKE A GARDEN:
WHATEVER YOU PLANT WILL GROW.
YOUR THOUGHTS ARE SEEDS YOU'RE PLANTING:
THEY PRODUCE, EACH AFTER IT'S KIND.

AND YOU, JUST LIKE A GARDENER,
CAN CHOOSE WHICH SEEDS YOU'LL PLANT.
AND BY THE CHOICE OF SEEDS YOU SOW,
YOU CHOOSE THE HARVEST YOU WILL REAP.

SO DON'T PLANT SEEDS OF LACK OR FEAR,
DISEASE, DISCORD, OR DOUBT.
PLANT, INSTEAD, THE SEEDS YOU WANT;
THEN THINGS YOU WANT WILL SPROUT.

THIS GIFT OF CHOICE IS GIVEN TO ALL,
AND NOT TO JUST A FEW.
THE HARVEST, FRIEND, IS IN YOUR HANDS:
THE CROP DEPENDS ON YOU.

SO TAKE THIS POWER WHICH YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN,
AND USE IT EVERY DAY,
TO GAIN FROM LIFE THE GOOD YOU WANT,
FOR YOU HAVE FOUND THE WAY!

Good luck to all those who have recognized their addictions and are trying to take control of their life again with all the goodness it has to offer. Surround yourself with positive friends, activites, and thoughts, and your "garden" will grow again one day! God bless each of you,
Michelle

Thanks for sharing that Michelle--reminds me of the saying "you create your own reality." Or "the world is your mirror," a principle put forth by Shakti Gawain in her "Living in the Light" book, which elaborated means everything you behold is a reflection of something in you. Hence the adage, "change begins with me," or in order to change what's outside of you, you must first change what is within. I think it's really hard for all of us, addicts or not, to evaluate what we need to change about our own thought processes, and then actually do so. Old habits die hard, but the negative ones are definitely worth the effort to eliminate aren't they?! Thanks again!

One more thought: LOVE or FEAR. Where there is the one, there cannot be the other. I studied that principle for a whole year and it really is true... CHOOSE LOVE!
