Here's answers to your questions. If I can tell you any more, let me know!!
I thought it wasn't too bad of an experience. I'm very pleased with my reults. I ended up with a really natural look, other than the scars that is. But when I went for my first appointment with my OB she does a complete exam and that includes a breast exam, she thought I had only had a lift, she said if I hadn't told her there were implants she wouldn't have known, so they feel natural too.
My skin stretches really easily so after my first son I had a lot of sagging and had lost fullness. What this did for me was lift everything back up and fill them out again. (plus made my areola smaller!!) They are in no way like what people picture "fake" breasts to look like.
As for the pain, I was hurting the first four to five days I would say. Just really sore when I had to move my arms, kind of like a pulled muscle. The hospital sent me home with vicadin, but it made me dizzy and feel out of it, so when the nurse called the next day to check on me I asked if I could not take it and she said that was fine, so I switched to Tylenol and felt fine. I did a lot of lifting at my job at the time so my doctor took me off work for five weeks, luckily where I work I get paid for sick leave, no matter what the leave is for, as long as a doctor okays it.
I didn't mind being ut under, just felt groggy and really thirsty the whole rest of the day. Oh and it was out patient surgery, so after I woke up and could show them that I could pee, I got to go home.
I never really paid much attention to what people said about the side effects. I work at a chemical company that makes silicone, so I'm aware of what it is. So, when my doctor suggested I get silicone implants and said that was fine. Besides, even with the saline ones they are in a silicone shell...

Thanks for the info! I would REALLY love to get it done, but I'm not sure which is safer: saline, soy, or silicone. I also heard, somewhere, about crescent implants - ever hear of those?

I haven't. I did hear of a kind taht I thought would be great. They are silicone cohesive gel. They are practically solid. I saw a picture of one cut in half and it looked like it was made of jello or something. So they say it reduces the amount of silicone that can cross the shell and get into your system. But my doctor didn't do those.
I'm totally happy with the results, I'm just wishing I would have waited until I was done having kids, that way I wouldn't have to worry about having to have anything fixed again. But live and learn, right?

That's pretty much what I'm waiting for - kids. I'm only 25, I already have an 8 year old daughter and a 9 year old step son, but I would REALLY love to have a child with my fiance. The problem is that I am currently going to school to become an R.N. & I won't be done for another 3 years and I DEFINITELY don't want another baby until I finish school and I don't want to have breast augmentation until I'm sure that I'm done having children! WHAT A DILEMA!!! I figured that if I don't have another child by the time I'm around 30, then I can have the surgery. Hopefully, by then, medical science will have come this much closer to making a new &/or improved implant!

Well, if it makes you feel any better I'll come back after my baby and let you know what (if anything) changed for me and maybe yu can pamper yourself and then finish up having kids! :)
I knew before I got them done that i was going to have more kids, but it usually takes us two years to get pregnant, so I figured I had plenty of time. And I read somewhere that you should wait a year before having kids to make sure everything has "settled". So, of course I get pregnant within five months!!
