Hi. I take Serevent and Flovent 2 puffs twice a day. I know I have to do some walking and light exercise but have to get motivated. I did not think Singlair helped me so I stopped taking it. Ask your doc about Serevent first and then Flovent 2x a day. I hope you find your answers.

Hello Sam: I take Flovent 2x a day and Atrovent 2puffs 4x a day. I'm sorry if you are not finding any relief. I suggest you take your concerns to your doctor and ask for new meds. One often needs to try different meds to tailor the ones that help you the best. Good-Luck to you!

Hi,
I'm new here. I'm a 17yr olg and i've had asthma all my life and have had all different combinations of Meds
including at one time: Ventolin, Atrovent and Budisinide NEBs and then prednisone and theodur tablets with serevent and flixotide puffers, so i know how you are feeling all these meds and still not feeling better.
I'm not sure what Advair or flovent are but i am confused by why you are on bricanyl and salbutamol at the same time.
Hope you are feeling better soon and remember to see your Doc before changing anything.
Good Luck

have either of you tried different doctors??? That sounds like a lot of meds and maybe you just aren't seeing a doctor who can really help you-get a second or even third or more opnions and see what happens.
God Bless.

you have lots of drugs in your list that do the same thing -- perhaps you could trim it down by cutting out some of the ones that are similar.

bricanyl and salbutamol are pretty much the same thing.

same with pulmicort and flovent.

though pulmicort and salbutamol are really convenient b/c they both come in nebs if that's how you take them -- stick to one format, the pulmicort nebs aren't a big deal right b/c you only take them twice a day.

You should really talk to your dr. about what's going on. If it really is asthma or what and then concentrate on trimming down your drug regimen

find drugs that work for you -- for example I can't take flovent since it makes my voice so hoarse, for someone who sings this is a Very Bad Thing and so I take pulmicort instead. if you go on one, go off the other. you'll never know what the benefit is from if you don't stay consistent.

same thing with your rescue meds -- dammit pick one. format could matter here -- do you like the turbuhaler, the puffer or the neb better, and that could affect your drug choice. then again having bricanyl in turbuhaler and ventolin nebs isn't a big crime either, but I'm very confused about why you're on so many of them that do the same thing. Advair as well as flovent... let's get things straight here...

good post wrin. another thing people don't realize is that if they are depending on the resue inhalers to manage their asthma their asthma isn't being managed. Also people don't realize with the steriod/long acting dialater inhalers like servent they do no good to your asthma unless their consistantly taken EVERY DAY not just when you feel bad. compliance with asthma is very very important.
