Michelle - today has sucked! My oldest son threw up this a.m. and he hasn't been doing his homework and me, the bad mother that I am, hasn't been checking so I got a mean note from his teacher for me to ENSURE he gets his homework in. But, I also got a note that he was 'approved' the for gifted resources class so he will be started this program next year in 3rd grade. I'm happy about that. THEN... my car wouldn't start this morning... THREE kids cold and wet and my car was dead. My boyfriend came over and 'jumped' it so I took everyone to school and then barely got it to the shop next door to my work. Had to walk to work in the rain. Then discovered that I don't have my powercord for my laptop which is the only kind of computer that I have so I have to 'beg' a ride from someone to drive 30 min away to search my house for my powercord because I'm working on battery now and I only have about 10 more minutes. This is a REALLY bad day so far. Now, I'm just waiting on the school to call me and tell me my son is throwing up again and I don't have a car to go and get him. Anyway, just wanted to tell you while you are having a wonderful time, I'm having a horrible day!!! O.K. Lynn - how are you???

Thanks Banker for the update and I am so sorry that you have had such a rough day! It can only get better, huh?
I am finishing up the packing as our flight leaves at 6:00 in the morn....will be real fun trying to get the children up at 4:00 in the morning! I may hit them up with some Benedryl tonight about 6:00 and put them to bed! :)
Was just scanning through one last time...you and Lynn better get your "homework" done! :) Although, I hope to get a better report from you over the next couple of days...bless your heart! Hang in there.
Talk with you Wednesday. Take care and I'll miss you.

Oh, how stupid am I? I thought you were already gone? By the way, school called... 'your son doesn't feel good'.... UGH. Thank goodness my car was almost ready so I went and picked it up and now I'm home w/him. I left the other two at daycare for some 'quiet time' and then I'll go get them in a few. Anyway, have a great trip!

Hey, Banker -- When I saw you'd already started the thread,--before Michelle left--I immediately thought "wow...Michelle was right! You Southern women CAN get things moving!!!" And...here I was...waiting until she actually left before I started one. LOLOL! :-)
Have a great trip Michelle...and when you arise from your coffin like a vampire to make your pre-dawn flight...just think of Alice and I--who also had to leave our house at 3 am to make our own ski flight from New York. We were just in time to enjoy the airport's nighttime staff, sweeping and mopping, as all us fellow vampires waited in line for coffee, jumping around, trying to avoid being swept up with the debris. What a time to travel--I didn't sleep at all the night before. Hope you do much better. :-)
Gotta go.....bon voyage! Bon trip! Colorado has just had tons of snow, you lucky thing!
luv, lynn (and Alice)

One more thing, that benadryl idea was a good one. Also, it can help little tummies while travelling.
