Some say that I am too old now and don't need the iron, others say take iron anyway for energy, what is right???

Unless you are still menstruating and/or have a low blood (hematacrit count) you would not need iron supplements. In fact, taking iron when you don't need it can cause other problems.

I think that we all need a certain amount of iron because if you haven an iron deficiency, you tend to bruise more easily and can get tired. A multi vitamin should give you all the iron you need and be careful not to take too much either...you can have reactions to too much. good luck!
