View Full Version : Got Gas?

This is really an embarrasing question, but are any of you experiencing gas as a symptom of peri-meno? I have been having gas pain around my esophagus (sp?). I am on a natural progesterone cream and a natural progesterone pill that dissolves under my tongue also. Maybe it is realted to that? I have never had this problem with gas before the past two months, so I was wondering if any of you might have the same problem and I could chalk it up to another one of these "wonderful" symptoms.

Thanks,
Penny

Hey Penny,
Well, on that famous list of 35 symptoms put out by women, it does list under Symptom #20: "Gastrointestinal distress, indigestion, flatulence, gas pain, nausea." Supposingly, an existing symptom suddenly might go away and then you just get another "new" symptom. Isn't this absolutely fun? and this is suppose to go on for years!!!

Yep, I looked on that list and there it is!! I have been taking OTC GasEx at the advice of my pharmacist. It is working. Just wondered if I am the only "animal" out there with this symptom!!!

Hi Penny,
You are probably not the only "animal" (LOL!) with gas! :bouncing: Maybe you're the only one willing to admit and talk about it tho! I rather have gas than some of the other crappy symptoms! Think about it.... :D

Molly Yeah I know. It is easy to control with the GasEx. It just stays in my upper stomach and not my colon. So it makes kinda funny feelings every now and then. But over all I am so much better with the Paxil CR and I am sure the natural progesterone pill under my tongue EVERY night (now that I know to do that) is helping also.
