Hi Caroline,
I'm assuming you're talking about dry skin spots on your body, not on your face...so I'll give you my experience.
I get dry skin spots from the weather...I have eczema, but in spots, not in one big area. I have found that not washing with soap on my body, just the pits, genitals and feet daily, and a once a week mild scrub.
I use Lubriderm for sensitive skin all over after my shower, and on the spots I have lately been using Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Body Moisturiser (unscented). It's been working really well. I also apply it before bedtime because I sometimes get in scratching fits..
Over the counter hydrocortisone creme will also help...I think it's only a low dosage, but it works for me on the stubborn ones...then I apply the Neutrogena Body Moisturiser.
I too am on Effexor XR, 75mg for the past year and a half. There's been increase in skin problems since then. Same old.
I hope you find relief soon.

I had that problem from birth control pills. Are you on any?
I don't think it's the Effexor, but I guess anything's possile.

I used to be on a birth pill injection, but i stopped havin it last Feb. But, thanks for ur reply....if u dont think it's the Effexor I will have to work on finding what is causing it/caused it. I think it is getting better...slowly but surely!

It could be something benign such as hair products....hairspray or gel, etc.
