Has anyone had any incredibly strange dreams while feeling very depressed? Last night I had a weird one where I spent some time with an 8 year old boy swimming, having fun, etc (non-sexual activities, many people seem to assume dreams = sexual :( ) and then his family told me to leave. I honestly cried in my dream for about 10 mins. It was just so weird.

No ... I have strange dreams all the time. Depressed or not. I can't write them down anymore - it takes hours.

I think everyone has odd dreams at some times in their life, but they can't always remember them. I had a dream a couple weeks ago about how my male dog was pregnant, and in the dream, I was thinking how that could happen since he was fixed, not oh he's a boy, how the hell did he get pregnant? That probably was a result of me wanting to get another puppy, though I never realized I felt like that until up to that night I had that dream. Probably a subconscious thing.

I have wierd dreams all the time. People in fact tell me that I am wierd because my dreams are so far out there. I've had wierd dreams since I could remember. I don't think that I know how to have a normal dream. I don't really know what triggers them since I have wierd dreams all the time. I dream about wars between rats and bats, marrying satan then getting booted out of hell, being chased my a snake all over my old neighborhood. I wish I knew the cause, it would probably give me some answers. Do you have any children, want any? Particuarly a son? Maybe that's what is causeing the depression and the dreams, you feel like your son is being denied from you or that you need a son. ? I don't know, just some thoughts.

Ive had especially wierd dreams over the last month, even though I dont think I have depression, its something else like anxiety. But these dreams are always so disturbing so much that I cant really go into them on here, but this is unusual for me because I usually cant remember my dreams.

I've always thought that I've been blessed by pretty entertaining dreams. I almost never have nightmares, but I do have some weird dreams at times. I don't think the ADs make them any better or worse.

I hope not because I'm only sixteen. :) You're dreams sound really cool though.

I think your uncounissnes is telling you that you feel alone, lonely. I deal with depression too. Some days ( very few) I am really really really happy. Most of the time I just like to be alone. I think too much and I don't feel comfortable most places. At school I feel so uncomfortable walking around the hall, sitting, etc.

I feel like this too a lot, amazing what dreams (or your subconscious) mind can tell you.
