a year. I started smoking again yesterday. There are no excuses. But I have been under such depression and stress lately that I finally started smoking just to take my mind off of everything else. Cause when I have this bad habit, it usually consumes my mind more than anything else. I noticed a change already in my skin. Usually when I wash my face, it will be nice and smooth and moisturized and I feel that when I wash my face. Well now it's not moist like that at all. I think I need to seek mental help before trying to quit again, but that's much easier said than done. I'm not looking for criticism here, but just for someone to listen.

Thx

Yeah, that kind of sucks. I think maybe you should look at the root cause of your depression, smoking certainly might take your mind off of it, but it won't help in the long run. Good luck, and come on back over when your ready!

Ah Puppypuke - so sorry to hear that. :( A whole year ....what happened. I'm sure you've had hard times before - why give in or convince yourself this was going to help you?

I'm sorry but I can't read a relapse and just listen. LOL PLEASE STOP before you develop the habit again. You've went an entire year without it - please don't say you need it because you don't. Be the strong individual you are and throw them out NOW. If you think your skin is gettin bad now - just wait a few weeks...........it'll be much worse since you're suckin everything out of it. Use vanity reasons to quit if you have to - they help me quite a bit to stay quit.

Say your prayers as well Puppy - you can do it :)

Puppypuke, I'm sorry your having depression and stress issues and it led you back to smoke. We're here and we'll listen anytime. Wow, 1 year! You'll do it again. If you could go one full year, then I'm sure you can do it again. Have you thought about trying Wellbutrin/Zyban? It 's an anti depressant and smoking cessation aid as well.

Anyway, we're here if you need help, and post as often as you'd like. :)

You started smoking yesterday. Quit today. For years we make excuses as to why we can't quit or what we have to accomplish before we quit. But if we look back on our quits it all boiled down to the will power and desire to do it. I know you can do it even if you don't. No matter what you are going through know that there is someone who cares about you even when you don't and someone who loves you when you think no one does. I care and am with you in spirit and want you to succeed. Take care
