Sponsor ffsmith 03-03-2004, 10:41 AM It really does not matter what the law is It is IMPOSSIBLE to prove that that is the reason they did not hire you. So legal or not, it can happen very easily with out any consequences for the company. Supposedly it is illegal to fire someone because they use insurance. Yet I was fired because I saw a therapist. The company said it was because I did not do quality work. I, and others say, they were reducing there insurance/medical cost load (they self- insure and do not use any other company) So legal or not, you can get fired for using your insurance and there is NOTHING you can do about it. In my opinion. |
