Hi, I'm new to the board and have been searching everywhere to find people who have had their lung removed. My boyfriend has sarcoma and has had over 6 lung surgeries. 5 weeks ago they wedged out pieces of his right lung and next week they are taking out his whole left lung. The doctors have told us that there is only 1/10 chance he will need oxygen when he exerts himself. But we'd like to know from personal stories what people have experienced once they had a lung removed. He's pretty active and we need to know what his 'limits' will be. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thank you!!!

Please ask you doctor what risk are at stake before hand. Please read my post and see what has occurred to my father since his lung was removed. I personally would get moroe opinions before you decide on this procedure.
