i've been suffereing from fatigue for 3-4 years now, but since last fall, i have these occasional "spells" which are much more severe and last from a few days to a week and a half. it seems almost like something is triggering them, like perhaps an environmental thing or perhaps a food. my question is this: can an intolerance or allergy present itself only as fatigue, or would i have other symptoms as well, like being sick or something?
thanks

If you have CFIDS, "flares" are punctuated not only by profound fatigue but many other symptoms as well, including feeling very ill. I describe it as feeling like you have a flu but without, what we think of as, classic flu symptoms.

Our CFS is made worse from heat, cold, humidity, allergies, all kind of things stress us. We have less tolerance to these things and many more. I have had it for 10 years. A specialist in CFS might help you. No cure and very frustrating. Look at CFS-news.org. That is the best place I have seen. Many doctors and sites tell you that exercise is good. HA, not even close!! REST and the right supplements and a good understanding of the disease is the best thing. Also, if you can find a great nurtritionist or doctor that specializes in CFS. Good luck.

If i have dairy 2 days running i get soooooo tired its unreal, my husband is the same if he has sugar or caffeine. So in answer to your question AO absolutely!
Leaky gut/ Candida could be the underlying factor though.
