Has anyone ever been diagnosed with Fifths Disease? I have a rash all over (not on my face) and my joints are sore and the glands in the back of my neck are sore. It is not Menengitis as the dots stay white and I can move my neck. The doctor said he thinks it is Fifths Disease which is a virus. My joints, fingers and knees are really paining. It came on suddenly. I think I may also have a weakened immune system as I had mono and shingles as a child. I will need to get some bloodwork done. I am thirty years old and hope it is nothing too serious. Anyone experience Fifths? It is usually seen in children and is also called slapped cheek with children as the cheeks are a bright red. Thanks for any help.

Hi there. I had fifths disease about 5 years ago, at 31. I felt terrible but the worst was the joint pain, I couldn't even bend my right leg. It lasted about 4-5 days and then it went away. I had no long term effects from it at all. I know you feel bad now but hopefully in a few days you will feel better. Take care.
