Hello All,
I am new to this board and could sure use some help. I had a car accident that resulted in whiplash several years ago. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know I had whiplash until recently. I never felt any pain. But, I've had some pretty awful symptoms with my head being spacy, kind of like a brain fog or I'm drunk all of the time. I can't concentrate at all, can't focus (almost like ADD), short-term memory is terrible, tinnitus, pain behind my eyes, right jaw clicking. The fatigue is awful, actually, I just feel awful all of the time! I also have big knots in my neck and tense muscles and knots all over my body. I didn't realize how bad my muscles hurt until I went to a message therapist recently. I was completely shocked at the pain I felt when she worked on me. My buttocks hurt, my arms hurt, my legs hurt, even my ribcage hurt. I started to think that my whiplash caused Fibromyalgia, but I don't know for sure. Not alot of doctors can explain the spacy fog that I feel, Fibromyalgia has fog as a major symptom, just a guess. I am planning on seeing a doctor, but I would love any advice you could give me.
Thank you,

I really do not know whether you have fibro or not. However, the fog can be caused by medication people are taking. It can also be caused by lack of oxygen to the vital organs (brain in this case). Are you by chance a "hidden hypeventilator", that is, hyperventilate without knowing it? Search Google.com for "hyperventilate" and learn all you can. Check to see how many breaths you take in a minute. This will give you a clue.

Kingsgirl,
I don't know if this will help you, but craniosacral therapists are trained to treat damages from accidents or injury to the body. Sometimes these damages shows up years later. I have alot of your same symptoms but I have not been formally diagnosed with fibromyalgia yet. Two years ago I fell on my behind on the ice so I plan to visit a craniosacral therapist soon. I am also following alot of the advice on this board. good luck.
