I am 15 weeks pregnant with my first child and my asthma has gotten completely out of control. I am not sleeping AT ALL 50% of the time. I am taking singulair, advair, albuterol as needed and on the advice of my obgyn I have started taking benadril. I have done everything recomended that I possibly can to lower the allergins, and trying to avoid bad foods.

Now my doctors have perscribed oral steroids in an attempt to get this under control.

My job is being threatened too because of the recent absenses.

Has anyone else gone through this? I am desparate for relief and SLEEP! But I am greatly concerned about how all this is effecting my baby.

That seems like a lot of medication to be on in your first tri-mester. Is the benadryl helping?

Have you determined what your triggers are?

Is your asthma worse since being pregnant or since the beginning of winter?

You might want to ask Merrida, she seems to know alot about this stuff.
