Prescription meds that causes significant weight gain Hi! This site is amazing! My brother introduced this forum to me and now I want to buy a computer for myself. I'm taking elavil and neurontin both meds according to what I read on the other sites on this healthboard forum causes weight gain. Elavil is a antidepressant and neurontin is a seizure medication - I am not depressed or have seizures, I use the elavil to sleep and the neurontin for nerve pain since I had hip surgery 2 months ago. I am 5'0 and weigh 155 lbs, and feel ugly and fat. I also had several cortisone(steroid) shots and that causes "moon face." Please let me know what worked for you. I want to try the trim spa or ANYTHING - I'M DESPERATE. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

It's me again, I just got back from GNC and bought a bottle of trim spa. I checked with a pharmacist who said that the neurontin and the elavil wasn't ssri's or mao inhibitors. I hope this works and pray that there is no bad side effects. :bouncing:

do you really think that taking pills is the right way to lose wieght? I mean I find that really scary, it might just be that my mom works for the doctor. From what I understand it's better to keep the weight and live long and well than to use a medication that canhonk your organs up.
