My asthma seems to get worse when I over eat. Now I am 6'feet & 180, and don't usually over eat except on holidays/family events at times. Then my body gets so stressed I don't feel like talking and like have a minor panic/anxiety thing occur. In time I've modified the behavior with positive results. ANYONE ELSE LIKE THAT, with some insight and such????? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

i would look into GERD...

also you can browse through the "digestive forum" - you might find some information which applies to you..

I have thought that my symptoms seemed worse if I ate too much. But I also had h. pylori in the past and could have some unresolved stomach issues as a result too.

But whatever the case, it seems like anything that causes stress in your body can exaserbate an attack. Stress can induce asthma.

Having a full belly push on your diaphragm can also make it seem harder to breathe which can bring on a panic-type response.

I've had trouble breathing after overeating before too.I think it was related to an upper respiratory infection that I was unaware I had.I felt like I couldn't breath in deep enough.I tried to catch my breath but couldn't.I started to panic. It wasn't minor panic. It was a full blown panic attack.I was also sweating allot.I took a while but eventually I calmed down and was able to breath a little better.I thought i was the only one that got that way.Albuterol didn't seem to help.Does anyone know anything about immunity to albuterol?I heard that if you use the same kind for along time , you can become immune to it.Also , if you use it soon after the nebulizer.Ithink it had allot to do with a full stomach crowding my lungs also. And also eating too fast.(in my case)
