I started taking Advair about one year ago, and for six months we have been trying to get pregnant. Are their any links between advair and infertility? I already have one baby, and at the time was not taking advair. I was on a mild asthma medication.
Any doctor (or heck, anyone on the infertility board,) will tell you that it takes about a year of trying with no success to even start considering a diagnosis of infertility.
Keep trying. And I'd look into purchasing a book on fertility. One that seems to come highly recommended is called "Taking charge of your fertility". I can't remember the name of the author.

I am aware it takes up to one year to diagnoss fertility, but I also got pregnant right away with my other child. Since I have been taking the Advair for this long I was wondering if there are any evidence on this medication. I do know there can be a number of other causes, but I was curious about this medication. Thanks for giving me the name of that book, I will look more into that. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

I've never heard of a link between Advair and fertility ... but I wonder if the physical stress on your body from the asthma might have some effect. My asthma was sort of 'dormant' for a while but kicked back in when I was pregnant the second time and I had a lot of trouble conceiving our third. Just a thought. Good luck.
