I was wondering if any one taking HRT has had symptoms of being on their period. I don't have periods anymore due to a hysterectomy but today I have felt lower cramping and back ache just like I used to when I had periods. Any suggestions, am I getting to much HRT, not enough? This is miserable. Also, I am taking Estertest at night and shortly after taking it I feel doom and gloom for awhile. It goes away. Any one feel that way too?

I have felt that too--not as bad--but still it feels like cramps. I have been on a major roller coaster ride with my hormones. I take estradiol pills, but I have migraines for two days once a month--just like when I had my period. I have ferocious mood swings and crying spells. A friend told me today that even though I am taking a higher dose of estradiol that it still sounds to her like I don't have enough. She has been taking shots and that's the only way she gets enough. I don't know--I have an appointment at the end of this month to get it all checked out. It sure makes it hard to function, doesn't it?

Thanks for responding. I went to the dr. yesterday and she said I may have ovulated and that was what caused the pain. I am tired of all this, I am ready to get off this roller coaster. I also found out yesterday that I have a suspicious area in my breast and now I have to have a biopsy next week. I have a call into the dr. to see how this effects my HRT. Damned if we do, and damned if you don't. Hope you are doing ok today.
