Does anyone use Splenda? And if so, what do you think about it? Do you get any side effects like headaches or anything? I got some and was wondering about it. Is it as bad as Aspartame? Did it help you with weight loss by replacing it with sugars? I love italian cream sodas and a lot of the syrups in the market have Splenda in them.

I like it. I've used it for about 2 years in tea and soft drinks. You can find people that think anything is bad for you. :)
It didn't really help me to lose weight, as I was drinking diet soda anyway. If you drink a lot of soda, and you want to switch to soda with Splenda instead, you should lose weight from it depending on how many real sodas you cut out in a day. Each real soda is about 150 calories a can.

Oh, I wasn't thinking about using it in sodas...like diet rite. I want to use it in italian cream sodas every now and then because I was sick of plain water. And there is a recipe in the South Beach book for a dessert.

Ive used splenda off and on .I think it tastes close to real sugar.Ive never had any problems with it.It especially tastes good in ice tea with lemon.

I love splenda and have used it for years. I use it in everything and love diet rite. It's funny how you see it used in allot of things now and a few years ago people were like what is splenda? You can use it to sweeten anything, with food, drinks or baking. I have not tried it with italian ice but let us know how it taste! Good Luck!

I don't think Splenda is as bad as Aspartame, but I don't use it because it creates an insulin spike. I'm a fan of Stevia (which does NOT result in insulin release), especially of SteviaPlus. :p
