hi there, i am a 39 year old female. i had a baby 5 years ago, who literally did not sleep for the first 4 years, so i think that sort of started something for me. last year, i had a feeling of a lump in my throat sensation, ent said it was nothing, but i still have it. anyway, after a short viral thing w/ fever, i started getting a tingling sensation that started under my chin. it moved to my face, ams, legs, etc. pain by my left shoulder blade, my thigh muscle, my feet, hands. my glands in my neck feel weird, and i have pain under my left armpit, for a really long time. i also have an internal shakiness, that never goes away, you can see my hands shaking. i've been to mayo, had emg, 2 mri's muscle biopsy, all kinds of blood work, the only thing they found was i have a high epstein barr, and cmv virus. i had mono 22 years ago, so i don't think that's it. i am at my wits end, with these weird sensations, and pain. i just joined a gym, fiquering it can't hurt, oh, and when i sit, my feet get numb. anyone have any ideas what to do next??? thank you!!! donna

Hi Donna,
If I'm not mistaken, epstein-barr can cause ALL of the symptoms you describe. If 'they' (dr.s) have labeled you as having epstein-barr, have they not offered any treatment options?
I have just posted all the symptoms and diagnostic criteria for Fibromyalgia to Tina1966, under the heading "New on this board. Have FIBRO Questions, Please Help". You might want to check that out, and compare, then maybe pursue this Dx with your doctor.
Good luck!

Wow Your Symptoms Are Almost Like Mine. I Just Woke Up One Day With A Swelled Lump Feeling In My Throat. And Then It Started To Burn And Itch. I Have The Tingliing Sensation From The Top Of My Head All The Way Down. I Went To All Kinds Of Doctors. I Even Went To A Throat Specialist Got All Kinds Of Test And Nothing. Like You My Epstein Virus Was High. I Also Have The Shaky Feeling Also. The Lump Feeling Never Went Away. Its A Horrible Sensation. I Thought I Was The Only One With It. You Definely Have Firbro. The Gym Class Will Probably Help. I Find Moving Helps Me The Best. Just Do Not Over Exaust Your Muscles Take Care And Good Luck

Donna. The first clue to what might be going on is that it all started with a lump in your throat.Bacteria draining into your throat from your teeth and gums can cause that. The tingling in your chin can be caused by the posion also. The reason the pain spread could be because the bacteria is dumping more and more posing into your body, the waste from the bacteria is the posion. The Mayo never checked your teeth and the reason i know that is because i went to the Mayo for help and all they could do is tell me i had FMS/CFS and they never checked my teeth.Seven suffering years later i found out that it was bacteria in my teeth and gums that was causeing my CFS/FMS.I know the last person you want to go see at this point is a dentist but if it happend to me it could be happening to you and many others...................Terry
