I am nearly 30 years old and have had asthma since I can remember. I didnt start taking medication for it until I was 8 years old. Before then I was a skinny active kid. Ever since I have been obese. I have no doubts that it has been the medication. Today, I am 370 pounds and can't go up a flight of stairs without getting winded. When I try to do something active, I must use the inhalor and even then it doesnt guarantee that I can do the activity without struggling for breath. I eat 3 balanced meals a day (about 1800-2000 calories tops) and I dont eat more than my 145 lb wife. The only time I have ever lost weight was when I only ate once a day, and even then we are talking about a 200-300 calorie meal. I am currently on a rescue inhaler which I use daily. I have been on advair/serevent/ and probably any others you could list. I want to lose the weight without starving. I dont want to live like this anymore and would appreciate any suggestions.

First things first -- go to a doctor and have your thyroid level checked.

There's a few endogenous things that can make you gain weight like crazy.
