Hi neddie,
I had a good friend who had his bladder removed due to Cancer. He lived a perfectly normal life with a urostomy for 27 years before he died last year of old age. All I know is that he lived a full and active life up to the time of his death, and if he hadn't told me about his operation, I wouldn't have even guessed that he wore a pouch. What I do know is that I miss his good company.
Good luck, and God bless you with the same quality of life my friend had!

Hi papaw,
Thank you very much for your information, it sure helps to know about your friend leading a normal life.
We asked around ,but no one knew of anyone ,that had that operation.
My husband phoned the "Cancer Society" they had a gentelman ,that had the same operation, call my husband ,he spoke with him for a long time, and was full of information he wanted.
My husband will have it done a week tomorrow, Thank you again, for replying to my post it really helps..
Kindest regards neddie.
